VISUAL EFFECTS SOCIETY (VES) ANNOUNCES NOMINEES FOR 10th ANNUAL VES AWARDS

"Los Angeles, January 9, 2012 - The Visual Effects Society (VES) today announced the nominees for its 10th Annual VES Awards ceremony recognizing outstanding visual effects artistry in 23 categories of film, animation, television, commercials, special venues and video games. Nominees were chosen Saturday, January 7 by distinguished panels of VES members who viewed submissions at the FotoKem screening facilities in Burbank and New York, FotoKem’s Spy in San Francisco, and other facilities in London, Sydney, Vancouver and Wellington, NZ."

Unexpected visit

During my time at "Anonymous" I had the chance to meet Dennis Muren (8 Oscars for Best Visual Effects) and I was able to show him my VFX art direction work and to explain to him how I developed the shots for this project. 600mm

Some frame grabs from "600mm" short film. The footage was filmed at Ontario Airport in Los Angeles. Police was always present to secure the set and our life ;) Michael Grobe and I shot with the EOS-5D Mark II and the Canon EF 600mm f/4 L IS USM lens. Soon more updates...
